The Importance of Awards

Kris Medlan won the NL Pitcher of the Month award after an August that saw him go 4-0 with a 0.50 ERA in 35.2 innings. Turns out, it was only the second best thing that happened to him today. 

So to recap: finding out the gender of an unborn child is somehow more important than winning a baseball award.
