Check out this awesome dragon, a picnic dragon no less, carved from 14 watermelons and 2 Fiji pineapples for the 2012 Priceless event in Belden, CA.

This summery beast was made by Shawn Freeney of the Invisible Underground, a website dedicated to fruit and vegetable sculptures and “edible alchemy.” The dragon was mounted on a steel armature designed and created with Louisa Bukiet.

This creature begs one question: if standard dragons breathe fire, what is expelled by a dragon made entirely out of fruit? Watermelon seeds? Juice?
